Making a Pot Kosher

Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the pot. Do not use the pot with processed food. Do not use the pot for 24 hours.

Fill a second, super large pot with boiling water. Immerse the first pot into the super large pot of boiling water. Or pour the boiling water over the various parts separately, diffusing the boiling water through all the pots to be koshered. If you do not have a super large pot fill a clean kettle (not used for 24 hours) with boiling water. Dip with a small saucepan and pour the boiling water over the pot to be koshered. Be careful not to burn anyone.

After this cleansing, rinse with cold water and use the newly koshered pot, being careful to keep it separately for neutral, dairy or meat.
